Bitumenised waterproofing system for Fire Station
The 250m² flat roof was showing signs of deterioration, Dawe Roofing Contractors were called upon to offer a solution, Chesterfelts 3 layer built up bitumenised waterproofing system was recommended.
After removing existing membranes and preparing decking surfaces, the new waterproof system included a venting base layer type BS747 3G, intermediate layer of high performance elastomeric Chestermeric 180 polyester, followed by a final capping sheet of Chestermeric 350 mineral finish. The classic 3 layer built up system bonded in bitumen would give a life expectancy of at least 15 years.
